Chris Stapleton Puts On Free Show For His Hometown!

He’s a man giving back to the community that raised him. Gotta love it.

Chris Stapleton recently traveled back to his home state of Kentucky to perform a free concert in the county of his birth.   Chris Stapleton was born and raised in Johnson County, KY. Recently, Stapleton performed a free concert in Paintsville, a small town about 180 miles outside of Louisville, KY. The free concert, sponsored by Ram Trucks and their Hometown Heroes campaign, was officially out of tickets within hours.

Stapleton has been on musical fire over the last year, with his album gathering massive critical and financial success. The award winning, chart-topping artist has been on every late night T.V. show, completed the entire daytime talk show circuit, and is at the top of every musician’s collaboration dream team. By returning to Johnson Central High School, Chris Stapleton sent a clear message: No matter how big he might get, he knows where his home is.

Do you have any famous musicians that hail from your hometown? Have they ever performed for you?

In honor of his return to the past, enjoy this vintage Chris Stapleton with The Steeldrivers.
