Luke Bryan is turning his back on the home town crowd?! SAY IT AIN’T SO, LUKE!!!
Unfortunately it is, but not for the reasons you might be thinking. Luke says that it is more out of a sign of respect than a flat out shunning of his home state of Georgia. (And we’re pretty sure it wouldn’t take much to convince him to start touring there again, either.)
Luke stated in an interview before hosting the Academy of Country Music Awards that he had always used his hometown of Leesburg, Georgia as a sort of financial failsafe.
“For so many years, when I was traveling the country, I’d play a show and there’d be about three people there,” he said. “And that was a complete loss of money. So I’d use Georgia to try to balance out the loss. I think they caught on to that. So they’re good on shows.”
While we’re fairly certain they haven’t gotten nearly as sick of him as he might think, Luke said, “I think they are pretty much tired of me.”
What do you think? Would you ever get sick of Luke Bryan coming to your town?
