Can a girl get a break?
After being compared to salad fixings and experiencing the very public demise of her marriage to fellow country star Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert now has another debacle to endure: She has been hacked.
Since the announcement of their divorce, Lambert and Shelton have been at the center of a great deal of speculation, tabloid headlines, and blame shifting. Despite their plea to the public to remember that they are, in fact, human beings with feelings, the tabloids have been desperately seeking any dirt on the former couple.
The tabloids, it would appear, have now hit pay dirt.
A hacker who went by the name of “Brenda” has reportedly hacked Lambert’s personal email account and sold the information to a popular supermarket tabloid. “Brenda” reportedly had accessed 35,000 emails of Miranda’s and has said that she is still uncovering information from the data she stole.
While all these tabloids are desperate to partake in the blame game, the apparent hacking of Lambert’s email could result in real legal and financial ruin for “Brenda” and any publications or websites that choose to release this information.
In the meantime, however, this would be a good time to remind everyone to change those passwords regularly. (Yes, we’re looking at you, Miranda.)
