Where were you on August 5th? Well, we can tell you where you wish you were.
Country classic Charlie Daniels wowed crowds at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN for his 40th Anniversary Volunteer Jam on August 5th, 2015.
The concert was a five-hour show and was preceded by a multi hour jam outside of the arena. It was an entertaining and musical night to remember with some of the most recognized classic names in country music such as: Alabama, Wynonna, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
But it wasn’t just the old guard that made an appearance that night, Charlie Daniels was also joined by some of the more modern faces in country music today, such as: Eric Church, Jamey Johnson, and Natalie Stovall & The Drive.
One of the evening’s highlights was when Natalie got to go head to head with Daniels during the exciting performance of ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia.’ ‘She’s too pretty to be a fiddle player,’ said Daniels.
The evening, which also included Bob Dylan covers and Billy Dean performing ‘Long Haired Country Boy,’ also had a serious side. Most of the proceeds from the event ticket sales went to a variety of causes which help post-9/11 veterans through the Journey Home Project.
