A Lady Antebellum Dry Spell Is Coming

Look, everyone deserves a break and everyone deserves the time to be with the ones they love so they can recharge. I get that. I think we all get that.

But that doesn’t make this news any less sad.

Lady Antebellum has announced that at the completion of their current tour, the 2015 Wheels Up Tour, they will be taking a break from their public lifestyles, the touring, and everything “celebrity” for a little while. The band wants to focus on their personal lives and also have the freedom to take the extra time to write their next album. Charles Kelley also says that they want to give the audience some time to miss them. “As a band, we’ve talked about wanting to get off the hamster wheel for a little bit and let the fans miss us for a second.”

Aha. Ok, we understand completely. Since they came together, the trio that makes up Lady Antebellum; Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, and Hillary Scott, have all gotten married and started families. They deserve and need private time with their loved ones. Deep down, we’re happy for them.

I’ll be here waiting patiently for them. It might be a long wait, but they’re worth it.
