Camaron Ochs is so much more than a pretty face with a golden voice. Before her days of country music, song writing, and singing, the California native found herself spending lots of time exploring the inner workings of the human psyche.
The “Burning House” singer/songwriter, who now goes by just Cam, once had her sights set on a career in psychology. Spending her days doing psychology research at that not-too-shabby university known as Stanford, Cam only dabbled in country music in her spare time. In 2010, she was considering the leap into graduate school, when her professor gave her an important piece of life advice: "Picture yourself at 80. What would you regret not having done more: psychology or music?"
The rest is history, as they would say. Cam was quickly signed to Arista Nashville and her first release, “Burning House” has inspired over 250 covers on YouTube. And, really, who better to write songs that explore human emotions than a woman who has explored the human mind and heart?
