Put this high up on the list of things that I would love to see actually happen.
Trisha Yearwood is an established member of what is seen as the old guard of modern country musicians. Along with Reba, Martina, and Faith, Trisha Yearwood has been a huge influence to many women in music and has provided the soundtrack to so many dates, dances, weddings, and lives over the years. To say that she is a bit of a big deal is an understatement.
Then you have Loretta Lynn. Loretta surpasses simply being the old guard, she surpasses simply being an influence, and she surpasses simply providing a soundtrack: Loretta Lynn is an icon. One of the founding members of the Women Kick Ass Brigade (an imaginary organization that I just made up, but am sure that Loretta would be a member of if given the chance), Loretta Lynn was the original feisty female in country music, playing by her own rules and taking her life into her own hands.
So, to reiterate: Both of these women are amazing on their own under normal circumstances. What could make them even better?
A beer pong battle.
Yes, in an interview on Bravo’s Watch What Happens, Trisha Yearwood said that she would love to play beer pong with none other than Loretta Lynn. “Loretta’s a crazy sober. She’s great. She’s a fun hang.”
I’m sure she’s a fun hang no matter what, but I’m not going to lie, I would really like that beer pong battle to take place.
