5 Best Country Music Road Trip Songs
'King of the Road.'
Country music has no shortage of great Road Trip songs, that’s for sure. The songs started back when boxcars and buggies were acceptable forms or transportation and now continue on with Hot Rod Lincolns and a tour busses. Summer might still feel a long ways away, but let’s start dreaming of hitting the road and seeing the sights anyway. Here are a few of our favorites:
On The Road Again:
We’ll start with Willie. This is a classic. We’d be foolish to leave it off the list.
Life is a Highway:
This Rascal Flatts cover is the perfect tune to crank with the windows down and the stereo up.
Amarillo by Morning:
A song to give you the push and the fire to get through those long hours driving at night. George Straight will get you there and remind you to enjoy that sunrise.
Dirt Road Anthem:
Oh, Jason Aldean! Your slow movin’ rocker might not incite drag races or window screaming, but your song will get us into a groove that makes the road seem a little more magical.
Take a Back Road:
Rodney Atkins is just like us: He hates traffic jams and life’s daily problems. He suggests you take a little time out of your road trip to make sure you get off the pavement.
