Chills, y’all. I’ve got full on CHILLS.
Now there is no topping the original, goosebump worthy duets performed by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty. The now legendary duets from these two icons have stood the test of time and still pull at the heart strings of anyone who listens to them. The chemistry between Conway and Loretta was undeniably electrifying.
Just ask two of country’s other iconic duos: Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.
During the upcoming PBS presentation Loretta Lynn: Still a Mountain Girl, Garth and Trisha discuss the importance, the vitality, and the longevity of these incredible duets performed by Loretta and Conway. They even give us a quick taste of their takes on one of the classics, “After the Fire is Gone.” Again, there is no competing with Loretta and Conway, but I have to admit, the impromptu duet between Trisha and Garth had the chills running up and down my spine.
I’m most certainly going to be tuning in for this presentation that honors the life, times, and career of Loretta Lynn. Will you be doing the same? What is your favorite Loretta Lynn song? Do you think Garth and Trisha did her any justice with their impromptu acapella duet?
