Some people are just naturally lovable -- like our favorite country diva, Dolly Parton.
Wherever she goes, her special blend of flamboyance and down-to-earth charm turns strangers into fans, and fans into friends.
It’s also easy to love her vintage autobiographical song, “The Coat of Many Colors.” It tells a true story about part of Dolly’s life in the days before her rise to stardom.
Dolly’s movie shares the same name as this special song. The movie focuses on Dolly’s childhood, what life was like growing up as one of twelve children in a small house in the Appalachians.
Despite those hardships, Dolly is proud of her remarkable family.
She has often been heard praising them for their love and support, citing them as influences in helping to make her into the phenomenal woman that she is today.
And yes, the story about Dolly’s coat is included in the movie!
The Coat of Many Colors was released as a TV movie on NBC last December, and a sequel is planned for this coming holiday season. We’ll be waiting, Dolly!
