Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood’s Tribute to Prince Will Go Straight to Your Heart

This past year was such a monumental one in music history. The world seems a little smaller, as we’ve lost so many special performers throughout 2016.

Perhaps one of the most surprising losses was the death of Prince, as was the reaction from the country music world. So many people were touched and inspired by his music, including iconic country artists Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.

A little-known fact is that Garth loved Prince’s music as a youth, and considers him to be a key influencer in the artist and performer that he is today.

In fact, this fan footage of Garth’s concert in Columbus, Ohio shows just how deep the couple’s devotion runs.

Upon seeing some audience members displaying a sign in memory of Prince, Trisha changed the repertoire up just a little, singing “Broken” for the grieving audience members in order to honor Prince.

We will always remember Prince. As long as there are people here who know and love his music, he will never really be gone.
