George Strait’s Cover of This Emotional Ballad Is Breaking Our Hearts

Although he started out as being referred to as “the singing cowboy,” we know that George Strait is so much more than that.

Throughout the years, he has shared parts of himself through music that makes us laugh, cry, and celebrate all of those special moments in our lives.

This performance underscores all of what we love best about George Strait: it was recorded for the show, CMT Giants.

His performance of “Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning” was so intense that it actually gave us chills.

The song was originally written and performed by Alan Jackson, who wrote it in remembrance of the events on September 11, 2001.

It’s a song that takes a very special artist to perform as well as Alan does; George really nailed it.

George is truly one of the greatest country artists that we’ll see in our lifetimes, and we’re reminded of that every time we see wonderful performances like this.
