Jason Aldean’s fans already know that he’s a great guy as well as an all-star country artist. But when those two qualities come together for a good cause, the results can be amazing.
Singer Jordan Rager, a friend of Jason’s, recently performed a song called “Southern Boy” which was inspired by someone very special. Cameron Scroggins was only fifteen years old when he was diagnosed with cancer, and he passed away a year later.
When Rager heard the story behind this song, he knew that he wanted to record it; Jason Aldean became a part of the project when he was inspired by this story as well.
Although “Southern Boy” was written as a song for a solo artist, the two Georgia artists collaborated and turned it into a duet as a tribute to Cameron’s short but meaningful life.
We think that this is such a touching story, and a wonderful way to keep this young man’s memory alive and inspiring to others.
