Keith Urban Completely Forgets Words to Song and Thanks Fans Stepping In To Help

Ever have one of those days where nothing seems to go right?  How about a moment of crisis in public -- like maybe forgetting something important while almost twenty thousand people are watching and waiting?

Keith Urban experienced a major catastrophe exactly like this, while performing a concert on his “Ripcord World Tour” at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.  The show was going along great, until Keith got to a fan favorite, “Stupid Boy.”

Keith just completely forgot the lyrics to his own song in the middle of his performance!  Fortunately, a few thousand of Keith’s good friends in the audience helped him get back on track by singing those missing lyrics for him… and the show kept right on going!

After the concert, Keith was so appreciative of the crowd’s love and support that he sent them this very special video message over his Twitter feed.

Of course, music fans understand that sometimes the pressure to perform can get to even a superstar like Keith Urban.  But it’s great to know that the people who love Keith will have his back, even in the strangest of times!

Wow. Where to start. I have had the pleasure of seeing you in concert over the past 3 years about 7 times and you never disappoint. Just was lucky enough to get a meet n greet for the Houston rodeo this year and love the way you are so giving to your fans. Your shows are amazing. My husband and I just saw you in Dallas and my husband was amazed that you gave away a giuitar I said yep #KU loves his fans and gives away one at every show. Love your bus check ins too. Music has been such therapy for me as I was sexually assaulted in October 2013 while traveling for work. I am now working on a nonprofit organization that will make employers accountable for providing safety training for any employees who travel. Your music fills my heart and makes my soul dance. I love the Song for dad ..listened to it on my way home tonight. Thank you for being such a good example of an amazing human being, I’m sure the best husband and dadl, and for sharing your grace and heart with us every time you sing. Your music has gotten me through some really rough times over the past 3 years but I have gone from a victim to a very strong survivor and your music and shows have been a huge part of that. So #KU bless you and keep on slaying those guitars, banjos because you are truly a gift. To us, your fans. Xoxo Karla gress 4178382753

Saw you in Toronto earlier this month and the rain never dampened my spirits as you were fabulous! Loved Maren!
Really just want to say you are so down to earth and I think you would be a great friend to have! And your family and friends are blessed to have such a stand up guy in their life! Keep rocking Keith, love you! ??
