One of Kenny Chesney’s favorite things seems to be popping up in places where he’s least expected. But unlike most party crashers, he receives a warm welcome wherever he goes!
During Fourth of July weekend, Kenny was having some holiday fun in Pittsburgh… Along with a few thousand of his closest friends, that is. He performed for a massive audience at the legendary Heinz Field that Saturday, but the night before, he took a surprise opportunity to perform with another legend as well: the “Piano Man” himself, Billy Joel, who was holding a concert at PNC Park on the Friday night prior to Kenny’s concert performance.
Kenny’s appearance at Billy Joel’s show was completely unannounced, much to the surprise and delight of the attendees. The two musical stars did a fabulous rendition of Billy Joel’s “You May Be Right” before the band trailed off into the unlikely segue, Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll,” (with one of the band members doing a Robert Plant impression you've gotta hear to believe!), then returning to the original song.
Even though these two stars are from completely different parts of the musical world, they definitely teamed up well!
