Little Big Town Talks About the Healing Power of Music
The tragedy surrounding the Orlando shooting has had a profound affect on many of us. Musical artists from across the nation are stepping forward to extend their sympathies to all who have been touched by this heartbreaking incident in American history.
Many celebrities have also expressed intentions of using their talent to help the country heal from the shock of these recent events, such as Grammy award winning country music group Little Big Town. During the Country Music Awards Festival, Little Big Town shared a few words with Rare Country about the importance of healing through music.
The band’s vocalist, Karen Fairchild, explained in greater detail: “Tonight is going to be a celebration of life, and love, and harmony. We’re going to remember those lives that were lost, and we’re going to celebrate them.” Later, on stage, the group was joined on stage by hip hop artist Pharrell to perform their song, “Miracle,” which they dedicated to those who were affected by the attack.
