Emotional moments can happen to all of us, but not everyone has to worry about getting suddenly overcome when on stage in front of thousands of people.
This is what recently happened to Miranda Lambert at a Chicago performance when she sang her 2011 song, “Over You.” Her ex, Blake Shelton, wrote the song with Miranda in the early days of their marriage as a tribute to Blake’s older brother, Richie, who passed away in a car accident.
Although Miranda has performed this emotional song many times, the show in Chicago was different; as she sang for the crowd, she noticed a fan who was FaceTiming with her long-distance boyfriend. As she waved to the cyber-guest, Miranda began to get so emotional that she needed a few moments, instead letting the audience sing the words for awhile.
But she soon regained her composure and went on with the show. It just goes to show that although Miranda is a tough cookie, she’s still strong enough to show everyone her vulnerable side.
