Alan Jackson is one of those performers that you can always pick out in a line-up.  His voice, with its distinctive twang and smooth tones, is very distinctive.

Alan’s been part of the country music landscape since the 1980s, and even now he’s still going strong!  This interview with Alan gives us all of the details on one of his most famous songs, “I Want to Stroll Over Heaven with You.”

Although Carl Trivette wrote it in the 1950s for his wife, Alan has made this classic tune his own; many fans associate it solely with Alan since its release on his 2006 album, Precious Memories.

Last month, his mother (“Mama Ruth” to friends, family, and many of Alan’s fans) passed away; Alan and his siblings sang the song at Mama Ruth’s funeral service to honor her memory.

It’s a beautiful and sentimental song that has truly stood the test of time -- performed by one of country’s greatest artists.
