We’re So Inspired by This Awesome Country Tribute to the American Military
Music is practically the perfect way to express our feelings.
There are songs that cheer us up when we’re feeling blue, and songs that make our happiest moments into wonderful memories.
Music can also be used to express the love that we have for our country. For over 70 years, the traditional country music song, “A Soldier’s Last Letter,” has been inspiring patriotism in American citizens of all types.
Although Ernest Tubbs wrote the song in 1941 following the attack on Pearl Harbor, it wasn’t recorded until 1944 when it became an instant hit throughout our country.
You might better recognize Merle Haggard’s version, which debuted in the 1970s and remains one of his most famous cover songs to date.
We just loved this video, which is full of pictures of actual soldiers doing what they do best -- keeping us safe -- set to this iconic tune.
We American citizens have a tremendous amount of love and respect for our soldiers, and we’re thrilled to share this beautiful tribute to the American military with all of you!
