Willie Nelson Asks Fans to Help Wildfire Victims in Need
It has been over 30 years since Willie Nelson helped to found Farm Aid, an organization that helps to raise money to assist struggling American farmers.
Farm Aid’s concerts have raised more than 50 million dollars since its beginnings in 1985, and it’s still going strong!
This year, Farm Aid is stepping up to help provide assistance to victims of devastating wildfires which have swept through Willie’s home state of Texas, as well as ranch and farm land in Colorado, Oklahoma, and Kansas.
In order to help the folks affected by these natural disasters, Willie has posted to his fans on Facebook to raise awareness of these wildfires, and also to ask for their help.
“Family farmers and ranchers face damaged homes, charred land, burnt fences, and dead or injured animals,” Willie writes. He has also included information on how fans can help to support the families in need of assistance.
Our hearts are with all of those who have been affected by this tragedy.
